When I say “FRIED”, you say “CHICKEN”!

Other than Meatloaf (which I will definitely be doing a post on!) I’m pretty sure Fried Chicken is one of my husbands favorite recipes. And I couldn’t agree more!

It’s one of the most perfect southern comfort foods.  There’s so many different ways that you can prepare it and there’s so many side options you can pair with it that’ll compliment it’s flavor.

The night that I made this batch I made a dredging station of one bowl of milk (normally I would use cream but we didn’t have any) to let the chicken thighs and drumsticks soak  in to keep moist, a bowl of my usual flower mixture; flour, Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika, and a bowl of 5-6 eggs.

I dredged each piece of chicken in the eggs and then into the flour mixture and repeat that process a second time ending with the flour mixture. Then I place them in a pan with about 1/2 cup of oil. I cooked each side for about 2-3 minutes, removed and then placed on a baking sheet.

I then place the baking sheet in a 400 degree oven and cooked for about 15-20 minutes.

Needless to say, they came out PERFECT! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and all the way cooked. Just as it should be.

I highly recommend adding a fried chicken recipe to your monthly dinner menu!
